When it comes to buying firewood, sometimes it can be difficult to know what to look for from a firewood supplier. So today we would like to share with you three things we think are worth considering when purchasing firewood to burn at home.
The moisture content
One of the most important things to look out for when purchasing firewood is the moisture content. The lower the moisture content, the better quality burn and the longer it will last. It’ll also be easier to burn and you won’t have to dry it out yourself.
Where it’s sourced
Where does the firewood come from? Locally sourced firewood is better for the enviroment, and overall better quality. The less distanced it has travelled, the less fuel would have been used therefore better for the enviroment.
When it comes to having firewood delivered, it’s important to make sure you find a supplier who makes sure the firewood is delivered properly. As firewood is often delivered in large bulk bags the last thing you want to worry about is having a large bulk bag of firewood left outside on the road. To make sure our customers don’t have to worry about this problem, we deliver 100% of our firewood products ourselves around south Wales, and we also offer an additional stacking service. This means our customers won’t have to worry about coming home to find their firewood left on the side of the road.
